Hi Nancy ~ I wanted to thank you for organizing a great vacation for us. Everything went to plan and the hotels were great. Maui was a great hit – perfect place to unwind. Hotel was just right for us. We could have stayed there longer. The volcano on Big Island was also a big hit and we did some great hikes across a crater and lava flows. We could have stayed in that area longer too. The apartment in Waikoloa was great, especially as it had a kitchen and a washing machine. Waikoloa was nice, but not as good as Maui (although I did get to play golf in Waikoloa). All the flights were flawless. Nancy mentioned the parking charges at the hotel, which we appreciated. There’s nothing worse than unexpected charges when you are on vacation. The documentation was great too, so thanks to Nancy for putting that together. Best regards John

Hi John, Well, we survived the wonderful Australia trip. You did a great job on the tours, for the most part. We loved the hotel in Sydney, being able to see the Opera house and the Bridge frm the rooftop pool, OMG. There was a street fair right outside our window for 2 days. So much browsing and sightseeing within walking distance. We walked to the Opera house and all around the Circular Quay and Botanical gardens. We did not climb up the bridge!! The hotel in Cairnes with the Lagoon right out side our door, the casino, the shops and the waterfront...perfect!! Snorkeling on the reef was phenomenal. The Daintree rainforest, river and gorge tour was a day well spent. The guide, Daniel, was very informative and the BBQ was very tasty and relaxing. The trip to Ayers Rock was a little hurried, my fault for putting time restrictions on you for the length of the trip. Howver, the Sounds of Silence, sunset and sunrise were breathtaking. The only part of the whole trip I really didn't like was the bus ride, 6 1/2 hours, from Ayers Rock to Alice Springs. The tour in Alice Springs was not the highlight of the trip. I would have liked to go to King's Canyon or to the mountains around. They looked like they were beautiful up close. The hotel in Adelaide, Breakfree on Hindley, was a great room in a very poor place. There was no where to go for a walk or to sight see. The staff at the hotel and the ameneties were first class. Kangaroo Island is an absolute must for anybody going to Australia. The tour, the sights, the hotel, the food, wine, all perfect. I am glad you put us on the 2 day tour, we would have missed so much in only 1 day. As it turned out, we were the only 2 people on the tour bus, so our guide, also a Daniel, took us to some extra places because he wasn't marshalling 60 people around. We had the greatest time in Melbourne. The city sights tour actually wasn't necessary because they have a free shuttle bus, with comentary that takes you to all of the places they do, but, you can get off, spend time where you want, not where the tour wants. We went all over the city to the huge Victoria Market and found all kinds of sights that were not even mentioned during the city tour. Did you know that the hotel, also in a great place for walking and sightseeing, is right beside the Eureka Tower that has the Skywalk? We didn't even realize it until the day we left!! All in all, this was a trip of a life time. You did a great job setting it up and keeping it within our time reatraint. We will. of course have to return, and you will be the person I get to help plan it. We could never have gotten all we did if it weren't for your ability to shop through a wholesaler. I know how much some of those tours and shuttle pickups and flights were from brochures and from others we met along the way. Armed with a little bit of knowledge, the next trip will cover some oft he areas we missed, and revisit those we like best. Thank you again for such a vacation, we a re the envy of all who know us. Hope the engagement and trip for you and your fiance went well. I wish you the best, and will be contacting you again in the future. Hi John--- I have been meaning to e-mail you and sorry I have not---your e-mail is a good reminder to correspond with you. WE HAD A GREAT TIME ON THE TRIP. Everything went very smoothly---NO hicups!!! Our weather was good 95% of the time. Our favorite thing was probably Kangaroo Island---really glad you had us spend the night on the island. One day on the island would NOT be enough time. Our least favorite place was Ayers Pock--- glad we went to the Rock but if the trip needed to be shortened, the Rock would be our first choice to drop. I remember you have not been there but we really liked Tasmania and the beautiful country feeling on this Island. We really liked Cradle Mountain (and the Cradle Mountain Lodge)---this would be a good place to spend two nights instead of one like we did. All the places you had us staying were very good. Karen's favorite room was the Henry Jones in Hobart---mine was probably the Mantra Espanade in Caines as we had a great view of the Espanade and the ocean (also, this place had a GREAT location). The 3 1/2 weeks went by really FAST. We do not have any other trips planned right now but when we do I will contact you. If you ever want to use me as a reference, feel free to do so. Hi Brian, We did have a wonderful time last Sept. when we took our trip to Hawaii that you set up for us. We just had such an enjoyable adventure. Our favorite part of our time on Kauai. We had a wonderful guide book, I cannot remember the name of it. We just explored so much in Kauai and it was the least expensive part of our trip as far as extra costs. We did go on a catamaran trip around Napali Coast which was fun, but other wise we used our guide book and found all kinds of beaches and did lots of walking etc. We loved Secret Beach. Kind of an adventure to get to, but was almost deserted. We had a picnic lunch there. And we found the Queen's Bath. We do want to go back sometime, but probably just to Kauai. We really like having the 1 bedroom with a little kitchen so we could just do our own food and pack lunches for our exploring etc. I was tempted the other day and put in a search for Kauai. We really like Kiahuna Plantation too in Poipu. Probably we may try an Alaskan cruise though before we go back to Hawaii. Thank you again for all your help with our Hawaii trip. John, Our vacation went very well. The hotel Mariano was very well located and a good value. Rooms were very small, but OK. We were on the opposite side from the street-facing rooms, and it was very quiet. I am guessing the street-side rooms would get a lot of traffic noise, as it was a busy street. We could easily walk to the train station, which was a big plus because we used buses and subway to get around. Both originate at the termini station. Didn't even need a cab to get from termini station to hotel, only three blocks or so. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Hey Nancy, Just dropping you a note to let you know that we really had a great time on Maui again. I am so glad we decided to go. And once again, it was so nice to know that we did not have to worry about any of our reservations. We have taken 5 major trips with you and we have never had to worry one bit. It is very reassuring. I want to tell you about something that happened while we were in Hawaii that makes your company stand out. First, while on our flight to Maui, we were talking with a man and his family who had booked on Travelocity. He thought he had a killer deal and was staying for 5 nights at the Royal Lahaina, which is an economy hotel next to our moderate hotel (not as nice). He had a family of 4, just like ours. He paid $5200 for his economy car, flights, and std. hotel room. We paid $4400 for our flights, hotel suite, and convertible. He took your information for future trips. Then, when we got to the car rental place, the guy in front of us had a reciept from Priceline and he had no reservation showing with the company and they were out of the car he wanted so he had to settle (a lot of bickering going on). Then, the worst was at the hotel, there was a family that was there to check in and they had no reservation for them. They had used Travelocity also. The hotel was trying to find them anything in the area and were having no luck since it was Spring Break. I felt awful for these families but also I felt very fortunate to have you guys behind us. My husband and I both want you to know that you guys do a great job at making our vacations happen smoothly. The hotel has done some awesome upgrades since the last time we were there. They now have a full fitness center with a lot of different machines. They also now have a hot tub, which they didn't before. they also have 8 computers with internet for guests instead of one like they used to. Sam Galloway

Hey John, Just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our trip. We did a week on the big Island in Kona. We went sport fishing and caught among others, a 250lb blue marlin and 2(150) lb Yellow fins. My boys 9 & 12 were ecstatic! We drove up Mauna Kea and did the lava tube in Hilo. We did Volcano park & black sand beach. We kayaked with dolphins at Capt Cook. What a time! Oh, the hotel was 'a home run'. Very clean and great location (quiet). What a great surprise, FREE buffet every AM. Thanks So Much, TomJV

Hey, John. Everything was great. The only bad thing was the car rental and that was my fault. Saved us a few bucks though. Your directions to the kayac dude was spot on and it was great. I was sore for the next three days but it was certainly worth it. Have friends here at my new job in Vagas that are going to Kona in April and I turned them on to the same place. Easy to find as well and the drive to get to it, once off the main road, is very nice indeed. We were really impressed with the room and the attitude of the people. Thanks again for all your help. Hi Brandon, Just a quick note to let you know how unbelievably pleased we are with the condos at Mauna Lani. It seemed to cost about the same as most hotels and yet was far nicer then any place we've stayed in all of Hawaii. The grounds are meticulously maintained, the golf course was fabulous, but the nicest surprise was the huge,beautiful condo itself. The master suite was really large, the soaking tub was great and the convenience of three bathrooms and washer and dryer was wonderful. the Lanai had three areas to relax on, complete with comfortable furniture to read or lounge on. the view was spectacular, we saw whales from our room! The daily maid service was nice and there were more then enough fresh towels for beach and room use. Another nice thing was having the privacy of a condo with all the luxury of a full scale resort. We loved snorkeling with our resort loaned snorkel gear, the reefs and fish diversity was as good as anything on the rest of the island right off our beach, we wet snorkeling every day, we even felt no need to go scuba diving. we had planned to but the snorkeling was so good we didn't need to rent a boat or pay a guide. The resortspa was wonderful too, the staff even cam e to the condo to drive us to the spa. All in all, one of the best vacations we have ever had. Thanks again, Terri Murphy

Great vacation! Nice touch with the Lei greeting. My wife was charmed. Everything went perfectly according to plan. Two of the hotels we had already visited, and so they were exactly what we wanted. I submitted ratings on two of the hotels, but the third link causes an error, so I thought I'd just send you my comments via email since it was one we hadn't stayed at before. ----- Naniloa Volcanoes Resort (Hilo, HI) I have read that this resort used to be the pits before it changed ownership. It is now under new ownership and, indeed, they have renovated many of the rooms. The rooms have a euro feel to them. Furnishings are new, including flat panel TV. Somewhat spartan with no carpet. Have a slight college dorm feel. With only a few floors renovated, the hotel had many empty unfinished rooms, spooky sort of 60's-era like something out of a James Bond movie. Beautiful location and grounds on edge of bay. Small, old pool working, large pool not open at the time. Historic area. I suspect a bit costly for what you get. Fun adventure, but not sure we'd return to this one unless the alternatives in that price range in Hilo are no better (which may well be the case). ------- Son and I had a blast exploring lava tubes on the big island and we actually got to see lava flow at night. Also looked at stars at vacation center on mountain top ... excellent. On Kauai, it was snorkeling heaven ... especially tunnels beach. Anyhow, thanks for your help. Hope we'll plan another one in a few years and be in touch again. Best Richard

Alas, it seems so long ago! Our accommodations at Maui Hill were outstanding. I would rate it at a solid 4 out of 5 stars, based on the following. Positives: Fabulous room décor & furnishings, amenities (pool & spa), helpful & friendly staff, ample parking right next to unit, lush forest setting, relatively close walk to beaches, recycling containers throughout the property, plus we received a free unit upgrade due to the low occupancy rate at the time! ( we actually got upgraded in Kauai to 2 bdrm oceanview, ) the manager had a bottle of champagne and chocolates upon our arrival, which was a nice surprise after our long flight. Near McDonald's. Only thing wrong was 500 miles of turbulance over the Pacific, and I hit my head in the restroom. I had to tell somebody. All in all, it was a very good trip. Julie S. 12/09/08

John We took the opportunity to rate the hotels - except Cairns - it wasn't available. I'll try again another day maybe. Anyway a note about this resort: it was a fabulous place to stay. However, I had to get out my itinerary 2 mornings in a row to show that breakfast was included. We of course waited for the on duty manager to work his magic before we could eat breakfast. The main drawback to this place is the location - miles from anywhere, no local restaurants to choose. We like going local and not just hotel faire. Anyway - thanks for everything you did to help us with a great vacation. I'm not sure how flexible the scheduling really is in your itineraries, but we could have used a little more - but that is hindsight. We stilled enjoyed everything we saw and felt is was worth it. John my computer won't open the response box for the hotels. They were all great. We hope to go back to Alice Springs again when we can spend more time. Alice on Todd is about a mile from the downtown Alice springs. They have sidewalks and you go by some interesting shops etc. We would stay there again. It was clean, convenient and you could cook your meals if you wanted to save on money. Eating out is Very expensive by our standards. The Wynyard is close in Sydney. A easy walk to the Botanical gardens and the Opera house. We were on the 22 floor and had to walk a half flight stairs but the view was great. They do not give you a continental breakfast with your rooms and it was $24 each. The exchange was about .71Cents U.S. but it had a lot of options and all you could eat. Voyages Desert Garden were beautiful. They have a nice swimming pool and a shuttle bus that is free. You can eat or drink at all the other hotels there since they are all operated by the same company. It is all part of the park system. The food was good and we did not run into an unpleasant person in all of Australia. The mercure is out of town close to the Airport. It was pretty upscale. We were far up and had a great view to downtown Sydney. They have a Very good restaurant. Every place we stayed would be well worth going to again. We paid $55 for a 2 course meal. The restaurant is pretty famous for it's Chef and a lot of locals go there. Fare to the Airport was $10 each which was not in our tour package. $40 total. We intend to go again with Alice Springs on the have to list. Thanks for all your hard work. You did a great job. Arlene Galambos 12/08/08

Dear John, Wanted to check in with you about our trip to Australia. Good job. Everything went with out a hitch. I would recommend to anyone that they spend more time at Alice Springs. It is a nice small town with good shops to buy at but we got in after the stores closed and our flight was to early to make it to town before we had to leave. It was very hot. In the 90's. The accommodations were great. If people wanted to stay longer at Alice Springs, Alice on Todd would be the place so you could do some of your cooking. It was clean and good air conditioning. Food is very expensive. Some meals we skipped because we were to cheap to pay the price. The hotel bus for the Mercure the last night costs $20 each way. It wasn't in the package. The hotels do not have complimentary continental breakfasts so expect to pay from $24 to $40 each. The exchange rate is about .70 cents for $1 Australia. We hope to go again sometime. There are so many things to do and see. We would recommend a stop somewhere at least overnight rather than the whole thing in one day. It is very hard on the body and you cannot sleep on the plane. Dear Brandon, Thank you for doing an exceptional job of booking a very tricky vacation for us. We made truly awful changes during booking, changing dates, places, times, ground transportation. You handled every single change with patience, cheerfulness and professionalism.Even when we changed from hotel to condo you got right on board and got us great rooms at really wonderful prices. It was great fun to talk to someone who knew the islands so well and was just a nice person. This is our 4Th trip with The vacation Center and, once again, you have a very happy customer. I was a little nervous not having our 'usual' costumer's service guy, Brett, holding my sweaty hand during the booking process. Now I know that there are two great agents at your place. Just a quick note to let you know that the choices you had for us for our stay in Waikiki and Kona were excellent. The Pacific Beach was well run with everyone on their staff that we interacted with helpful and friendly. I can not understand why the AAA guide book did not include this hotel in their listing. The ResortQuest Kona by the Sea condominium was just as described, with views of the ocean and neat grounds that were worth their own pictures to take home. Thanks for the arrangements. Hi Brooke, Fantastic, exceptional value, impeccable accommodations, something for everyone... etc!!!! Our list could continue but these are just a few words to describe our recent vacation trip to Mexico. First, we could not have been more pleased with your recommendation of the Iberostar hotel chain. There were five individuals in our traveling party and everyone was very impressed with our accommodations (believe me, this is not a group that is easily impressed). The staff were friendly, efficient and very customer service oriented, the variety of food choices was plentiful and a large selection of activities on the property for all age ranges (If you were looking for something to occupy your time, there were no limitation of choices and if you wanted to find a nice place to just relax with a cool beverage {of your choice} then there was no problem fulfilling that requirement either. The hotel complex is huge. We were there for five days and we still did not get to see everything. The beach was beautiful and we never felt crowded. What a spectacular view of the ocean!!! We had a few tense moments while watching the direction of hurricane Ike. Luckily, our weather was beautiful and we were only impacted by having to fly around the storm. We were all pleasantly surprised by having a travel representative at the hotel. Our primary contact was Carla (unsure of the spelling) and we also had an opportunity to interact with Imere (unsure of spelling). Both of these individuals were courteous and provided great information for our stay at the hotel and for booking our excursions. As previously mentioned, we did have to fly around the storm which added approximately one hour and thirty minutes to our travel time. When Carla greeted us at the hotel, she realized that we were probably hungry and suggested that we have lunch first and then stop by her location to talk. She then took the time to walk us to one of the nearby restaurants and to also show us how to get to her booth. We were grateful for her insightfulness. We took a shopping excursion into Cancun (which included a stop at a tequila factory) and on another day, part of our traveling party went to Chichen Itza. The Mayan ruins were breathtaking!!! On both outings, our traveling accommodations and our tour guides were wonderful. From our transfer from the airport to the hotel, to our check-in, to the service and options provided at the hotel and to our final departure from the hotel back to the airport for the return trip home, everything was wonderful!!!! Give our sincere thanks to the hotel staff and please be sure that Carla is recognized for her extraordinary customer service. Please also recognize Imere for his wonderful people skills. We are already talking about our plans for our next vacation and you can be sure that the Iberostar hotel chain with be at the top of our hotel choices and we will be contacting you to help us make the best choice possible. Hi, John, I just wanted to check in and let you know that the vacation to Japan and Hong Kong was outstanding. We returned last night. I can't say enough about the wonderful service we received from the JTB. We didn't encounter one problem. We were met at each destination, escorted to our hotels and the transportation was first class. The bullet train was one of the highlights. Its been 46 years since I was in Japan and I can still manage to get around. Tokyo, a fantastic city. Hong Kong of course is one of my favorite cities in the world, but I think I enjoyed Japan more this time. Yes, my daughter and I had the most memorable experience in Australia one that I am so glad we took especially now that she started college last week. With two kids in college and a big move for my husband and I (we just put down a deposit on a condo that will be completed in 2010) I do not have any out of country vacations planned for this year however, we might take a trip to Amsterdam when the tulips are in bloom next year. When I first spoke with you, I couldn’t help wondering if I was being scammed… the prices seemed too good to be true! Thank goodness you were able to reassure me because everything was PERFECT. The plane arrangements were timed wonderfully, the car was ready and waiting and the condo was MUCH BETTER than what I saw online. It was located just outside of Kihei (on Maui). Far enough to have crowd-free beaches and near enough to town (5 minute ride) to have every convenience at our fingertips. Having maid service, a concierge, a store and a restaurant right on the grounds made us feel as if we were staying in a full service hotel! Subject: Hi Nick, YOU ARE AWESOME! Hi Nick, Hope all is well with you and your family and that you are planning some fabulous get-away for yourselves! We had the vacation of a life-time. I received your e-mail on my home computer, but have been so tired by midnight when I get a chance to reply to my home e-mails, that I haven’t reviewed it yet. But, I just had to take a minute out from work to let you know that the time we all spent together in Barcelona and on the cruise was beyond our wildest dreams and we dream big! :) While on a gondola ride in the Grand Canal in Venice, our son Paul proposed to his girlfriend Anita, ring and all. It was soooo romantic and we recorded the whole thing in pictures and video. She had no idea it was coming and she was in shock, but thrilled! Cumie and Alex’s wedding was so tender and real and honest that it humbled us all and brought us even closer together as a family. Someday, I may bore you with a few of the warm and loving e-mails that were flying back and forth the first couple of days between the six of us after we arrived home. You are one of the few people we know who would appreciate our crazy and joyful love for each other. And as far as pictures, well, between the six of us, I think we captured more Chamber of Commerce pictures of Barcelona, the French Riviera, Italy (both the cities and the historical sites), Croatia and North Africa than any one in the history of photography. Paul took 1000 pictures and I took close to 1700. Phil also recorded enough video that I had to burn 6 DVDs to capture what he had left after he did tons of editing. And, with Alex being a professional photographer, no telling how many they took! Needless to say, you did a fantastic job on all of this for us and we will be forever grateful. The room and the deck on the ship were perfect, the room was in the center of the ship on the “land” side and we felt nothing in the way of motion. It was exactly what we were hoping for – thank you for going the extra mile for us! American Airlines was a huge pain in the neck, but all airlines are these days and we survived so it’s only a fading, unimportant memory. Our only suggestion would be to let first-time cruisers know that they have to book their day-trips (excursions) at least 10 days in advance of the departure date online and the earlier the better. I thought we should wait until we got our envelope of info before booking and it was too late then to do it online and we had to do it on the ship (the ship has a blackout so you can’t book online 10 days or closer to the departure date). A couple of our first-choices for the excursions were unavailable at that time. But, we were, of course, happy with what we ended up taking! Maybe you could provide first time cruisers a one-page sheet about a month in advance of the trip listing a few of the important procedures like “all tipping is done at the end of the cruise and must be paid in cash at that time, or a sheet must be filled out and signed and returned to the guest relations desk 7 days prior to the end of the cruise”. We did have enough cash, but thought that we could add the tip amount to our credit card so we were fortunate that we had enough cash to cover that item in the way we wanted to (we gave extra to some of the impeccable staff!). Just little things like that, but, the TRIP, THE FAMILY TIME TOGETHER, THE CRUISE AGENDA, THE ROOM, THE ON-BOARD ENTERTAINMENT, THE PORTS OF CALL, THE QUALITY OF THE SHIP, THE CELEBRATIONS – WE WERE OFF-THE-CHARTS ON THE HAPPINESS SCALE – AND WE THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A WONDERFUL PART OF OUR FAMILIES JOYFUL EXPERIENCE! Nick, I just wanted to drop you a note. Charles and I got back from Buenos Aires on Sunday morning but I've been way busy getting back into the swing of things. We had an amazing time and we absolutely loved the Mine Hotel. The rooms were very nice, clean, new and fresh, the superior room was a roomy size for 2 guys and all the stuff we bought. Palermo Soho was the best area for shopping, eating and just hanging out. The boutiques are definitely the best in all of Buenos Aires and the people were very friendly and helpful. Back to the Mine Hotel the staff were simply great they helped us with everything from arranging tours, dinner reservations, and site seeing ideas. The cafe in the hotel was also quite nice the morning breakfast was very satisfying and room service was very accommodating. Thanks again for your assistance. John and Charles

Dear Brian, The trip was out of this world, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was top notch .We did however experience delays at the rental car place do to our unique situation that my parents and ourselves all had the same first and last names (so as you can imagine it was quite confusing). The only other thing is to remember check out time is 11:00 am and we did not have a flight till 5pm and my parents flight was leaving at 9pm so we had to pay extra money to check out at later times . Aloha Brett!! Ray and I just got back from our Hawaii trip yesterday and I just had to write and thank you so much for putting together such a fabulous package for us. We both kept saying throughout our trip 'we'll have to let Brett know what a great job he did and how happy we are with his service'. WOW!!! The Ihilani JW Marriott was by far the nicest resort we have ever stayed at. Everything from the views (we got an upgrade to an ocean view room) to the shark and sting ray ponds, the beautiful lagoons to the long walks on the beach and boardwalk each day was fantastic. And we really needed those walks due to the excellent buffet breakfast we feasted on each morning. Maui of course is our favorite island. We've stayed at the Whaler before but the room you got us this time was really cool. We were on the 12th floor with a view of Black Rock and the beach beyond. We did a Luau at the Sheridan which we were all disappointed in. If you talking to clients please tell them that the Hyatt Luau is far better. We've done that one twice and the show was a lot more polished, the setting is better, the food is better and the drinks are better. The highlight of the trip for us was renting Harley's for 3 days and cruising the island (without helmets!). The road to Hana was awesome on Harley's! Anyway, all-in-all you have two very happy customers Brett. GREAT JOB!!! Mahalo....mahalo....mahalo!! All-in-all the trip was a real hit and a good treat. Hotel Aqua Palms was very good It’s location is centrally located perfectly to everything. The only hotel drawback we could find was that their mattress was strangely a little hard. Having a rental car surely added to the fun and options but wont be totally necessary to see the island because they have good public transportation and shuttle busses near the hotel. Lets give it at least a 4 out of 5. We hope to return to Honolulu again soon. Thank you very much. …..Brummitt C.

Hi Brooke, Just to mention that we had a fantastic vacation on Hawaii. Thank you and your colleagues very much. All went well: flights, cars and hotels. Best place to stay we found was Oahu - modern, culture, beaches, shops, restaurants, etc. The other 2 island are in places more shaby. All 3 have of course there natural beauty and beautiful sceneries. The last hotel on Maui was our less favorite, mainly because it was the only hotel with no seaview and lesser nice beach. But also because the other 2 hotels were really excellent. On Maui on the other hand we found a bounty beach. We drove around 1200 miles (almost 2000 km) in the cars, and visited many places of interest. On big island we had a 4x4 and in fact that would have been handier on Maui. The roads are in good condition, even though there are some one-lane-roads that bring you to beautifil places. Thanks and best regards, Frank

Brent and I had a wonderful time in Hawaii, even if it did rain a little. It would have been perfect, but Brents mom passed away the day before we were to come home. So I would have probably emailed you sooner, but we had to travel to California, for your services. You were just great in helping us with our trip and even getting us on another flight when Aloha airlines discontinues their flights. John, We made it back safely, thank you for putting together such a great trip. We did have a few issues, the main one being that while in Bangkok the Grand Palace was closed because the King was having a special celebration. Neither we nor the tour could help this and Tour East said they would write your company so that we could get a refund for that tour. Is getting a refund possible? Is there anything we need to mail in such as the voucher? We also wanted mention that what was listed as the activity was not always what took place. Both the Safari and Phang Nga Eco did not provide the boats we thought we would be on, we thought we'd be on a junk and a luxury cruiser respectively. The hotels in Bangkok and Phuket were great, beyond what we expected, the Chiang Mai Novotel was a little marginal. Finally, we really liked how everything was worked out and lined up for us. Chiang Mai was the best in terms of our guide Pong. She picked us up at the airport and took us on our tours, even offered to take us around on her day off. Unfortunately we were largely unimpressed with the Phuket Tour East reps, the one that picked us up at the airport barely talked to us and when we asked questions about our tours told us the people at the hotel would help us. He get out of the car half way to the hotel, upon arriving at the hotel we were told that our rep Pinya would meet us tomorrow, it didn't seem she knew about our prearranged tours. We really enjoyed the cooking class and the Golden Triangle. Thank you again for all your hard work putting our tour package together, we have recommended your company to our friends planning trips. Even with the problems with Aloha Airlines we (three couples) all had the best of times. We were to fly to Hawaii on April 1, 2008 on Delta Airlines (the day after learning that Aloha Airlines stopped business) We were to fly inter- island from Oahu to the Big Island, and fly from the Big Island to Kauai, and fly from Kauai to Maui, and fly from Maui to Oahu, all on ALOHA AIRLINES. Well, let me tell you that you guys went to bat for your customers and got all of us on Hawaiian Airlines to get us to where we were going. We may have had to get up very early in the morning to catch Hawaiian Airlines and had to arrive very early for pick-up of our rental cars and arrive very early to check in to our accommodations, but EVERYONE, I MEAN EVERYONE ON THE ISLANDS, was more than willing to provide the correct cars early and willing to bring us in to provide accommodations OR a room to put our luggage in advance of the time our room was ready. Very impressive. When you get the right people doing the right things for your customers, it's appreciated! I was especially impressed when Lorna Lawrence called Patti Labonte and told her of a problem we were having as we were leaving Honolulu and traveling to the airport to leave on the last day. The person that met us when we arrived at Honolulu with the Lei's and voucher to get us to the Pacific Beach Hotel was quite confused (seemed like that was his first time doing his job). He did give us all our Lei's (by the way, they were just beautiful), but he gave us one voucher that only had two people in our party listed on it and simply changed the 2 people to 6 people (we didn't know any better and thought this was OK). According to the person (from a different company) that picked us all up to take us back to the airport to depart, she said that we would all have to pay the fee all over again because each couple were to supposed to have a voucher covering 2 people for each voucher. The original guy changed the one voucher from 2 people to 6 people and Robert's would not accept that. A quick call on the way to the airport to Patti Labonte got action and we soon heard from the driver of the bus that all was cleared and we would owe nothing more (great news). Way to go Patti! Oh, yeah, Patti I believe that you talked me into having everyone stay at the Pacific Beach Hotel in Honolulu. Well, let me tell you that everyone on our group said that when we go back to Hawaii in a few years they all want to stay at the Pacific Beach Hotel. Good choice, Patti! Hi Nick, I'm writing this to you from the last leg of my journey home, from the Atlanta Airport. Nick, you did an outstanding job. This is the best vacation that my wife Gail and I have ever had. I've been to Europe several times and have always enjoyed those trips. This Australian trip was FIVE TIMES as good. I've never seen so many kangaroos in my whole life. Kangaroo Island was my favorite part of the trip. We had a couple of kangaroos come right up to us and we were able to pet them. We also petted lots of them at Koala Park. Nick, this was superb. The tours were out of this world (or at least out of the USA). They were on time, the tour guides were fantastic and the things that they said and the places that they pointed out were truly amazing. The tour guide for Kangaroo Island, a guy named Mark was SO good that by the time it ended after the two days there, I tipped him 50 bucks. We also lucked out and got a tour guide named Russell for the Sydney City Trip and then the next day we had Russell again for the Blue Mountain trip. We really got a good taste of Australia. It is interesting to see how the four states that we visited are so much different from the others. The Great Barrier Reef tour was great as well. I don't do too well on the water (since I don't like motion rides too much) but I took two ginger pills that they said to take and I was just fine. I was going to perhaps try scuba diving but since I had a heart attack 5 and 1/2 years ago and have to take some medications the doctor wouldn't let me do it. To be honest, I was just seeing if they would pass me. After reading the medical disclosure that you can get heart problems, seizures, embolism, etc, I had chickened out. So we went on a submersible and were able to see a lot of things on the reef. I took (I think a little over) 500 pictures. I transferred them every night to my computer so I could clear my memory card every day. I bought a lot of batteries for my digital camera. I'm glad to be back here in the good 'ole USA where diet cokes are a bargain (even at the airport) compared to Australia. Oh well, as they say, 'no worries'. Thanks again for a superb trip. You are the best. Without a doubt Gail and I will use you again since we would like to see New Zeland, Perth, Tasmania (the regions we didn't have enough time to see this trip). Dear Brett, Thank you again so very much. We had a fabulous vacation. Sorry it's taken me a bit of time to respond but you know how it is when you return from a big 'time out' - everybody needs something! If it hadn't been for our dear little schnauzers waiting impatiently at home, we may have looked into buying our own 'little grass shack' and just staying put - it was truly that wonderful. I completed the ratings for the accomodations. As you will see, Lae Nani was off the charts splendiferous and the Island Colony was not a place I'd recommend or return to. It served our purpose but won't go back there. Frankly, if it had not been for the fact that I'd lived there for so many years (26) and still have friends to visit, we'd have skipped Oahu entirely. Brooke, Just wanted to briefly let you know the trip to Hawaii was a real hit and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. The only real glitch was the slight depart schedule change where we had to spend some extra hotel time for check-out but everything else was a real treat. We have just about gotten over the jetlag thing now, and gotten immersed back into our jobs again and we feel very lucky avoiding the ATA airline bankrupt issue. Dear Jeremy, Thank-you for arranging our vacation!!!It was fabulous!!! We loved the Napili Point Condos. We faced the ocean and overlooked a sweet little cove where sea turtles abound. We went snorkeling almost every day and enjoyed the sea turtles every time we got in the water. The humpback whales were still there and there were frequent sightings. We went to the Feast at Lele luau and it was better than we imagined it could be. And the butterfish at Sensei Sushi was devine. Everything about our trip was wonderful. We even dealt with the fact that we flew United (which we all abhor). And your recommendation to use the Maui Revealed guidebook was right on. Thanks so much for you help and guidance. Mary A.

Hi John, I just wanted to let you know that our trip was great. We enjoyed all our sight seeing tours and the people were all very friendly. There was one time that we had to pay for our lunch and it was supposed to be included. That was the day we went to River Kwai with the Tiger Temple. I believe it was 70 Bht that we had to pay and the air conditioning on the coach bus was not very good. We could usually understand the guide if he spoke up. The guide that we had the first day in Chiang Mai was excellent and I wish I could remember his name so he could get some recognition. Betty

Hi Brett! You planned a vacation for my husband and I last year at this time. We went from Chicago to Negril, Jamaica with no problems. You were great and the trip was absolutely perfect. We stayed at the RIU Tropical Bay and had a blast. We are now trying to plan a possible vacation to Jamaica (we REALLY liked Negril but are open to other areas) for February 2009. We would be going with what will be our two year old son and our 4/5 month old new baby so we want a very kid friendly resort. We are looking forward to hopefully working with you again. We got back from Hawaii yesterday. I can't tell you how great were all the arrangements you made for us. At the Royal Kahana we were upgraded to an ocean- view room at no charge (did you have something to do with that?), and our view was great. We even saw whales breaching from our room! Both times our cars were upgraded, although I'm not sure a Mustang can be considered an upgrade, but it was fun. The Dodge Magnum stationwagon on the Big Island was very comfortable. Both hotels were fine, although I must say I preferred the little bit shabbier Royal Kahana. But the service and quality of both more than met our expectations. One thing surprised me---I expected to pay the parking fees at the Sheratin, but when I checked out they informed me there was no charge, so your package even included that. All four flights were on time and eventless. On the flight home we even had an empty seat on our 3-seat row in an otherwise crowded plane, so we could stretch out a little. The weather was perfect. We only encountered rain for about an hour as we returned from Volcanoes Natl Park; the rest of the whole time was warm and pleasant. And don't get me started on how warm the water was. Wow! Anyway, I am going to try to post our wonderful experience on TripAdvisor.com, and I will definitely let folks know your company is the way to go. I loved how everything was taken care of. Our vacation was just wonderful...Kauai and The big Island. Our room at the Royal Kona was very nice. Two of the towers have been refurbished, The Ali and the Lagoon. We had a 7th floor room in the Ali Tower on a corner and just loved it. We were very surprised and could not have been happier. The view was to die for with the mountains above Kona, the hotel grounds with the Luau stage and the pool, and of course the ocean with the waves crashing in. On two previous trips to Kona we had stayed south of town in a condo. This trip we had decided that we wanted to be right in town and I have to say it was our best trip ever. We will return to the Royal Kona again and again! Thank you so much to Brooke and The Vacation Center for such a memorable 2nd Anniversary. The only drawback was the day of reality, 'flying home to cold and snow in Boise!!' Joe and Janet

Hi Brett, I never did thank you for the work you put into the trip to the Castle Waikiki Shore Condo last year. It was great and a wonderful rest for me. My daughter Judy and young Emma had a marvellous holiday except Judy had about a dozen needles in her painful shoulder for most of our stay. My son and his wife are wanting me enquire about the two bed. 2 bathroom ocean FRONT rooms. Is there one of these available in May this year? If there is the cost too please. Hope you can help. Brett, Thank you very much for following up. The Wyndham Grand Bay at Isla Navidad was very good. They were slightly understaffed for the year end period, but overall, we had everything were went for: Peace, beautiful place, close by activities, good service. The Deluxe room was also the one committed, with our large balcony right in the middle in the hotel with a full plain view of the sea and the village of Barra de Navidad. Hi John, I received the survey to rate our accommodations for the Resortquest Waikiki Beach Hotel for our stay in June of 2007. Had trouble sending it the first time so you may get a duplicate. I sent a letter to you in July upon our return telling you about how great we found our trip, including comments about what it was like dealing with Vacation Center, and what we liked most about our trip and accommodations. I hope you received it. We had a very nice experience and owe you many thanks for your assistance setting things up before the trip. You were our representative at Vacation Center and you were very helpful to me when I was making my plans for the trip. My husband and I found almost everything to our liking: The hotels on all 3 islands were wonderful, the interisland flights all went off without a hitch. A small delay when we thought our luggage was lost in Maui, but it worked out fine. The Ecotours kayak/snorkeling excursion on Maui and the bike trip down Haleakala were high points, as well as seeing Kilauea and the Place of Refuge. Hi Brett, Happy New Year!!! I tried to leave a review for our October mini getaway but the site was not accepting my comments. This is what I tried to say in my verbal rating: 'The Riu Palace Las Americas defines the WOW factor!!! From the moment we arrived thru our departure we were treated like royalty. The staff is so kind and considerate to everyone...from the front desk, to the maid service, to the bartenders, to the restaurant wait service - they always made us feel important and genuinely cared for. The grounds are prestine. The night lighting in/out of the facilty will 'rock your socks'. By far one of the most pleasureable vacations we have experienced. It's a GO- AGAIN!!' As you can see, we were delighted with your hard work and how our vacation turned-out. We are considering a 5-7 day cruise for two sometime in late July. We're not sure if flying will be economical enough to warrant it. So we are thinking of possibly booking something out of PA, NY, NJ, or MD. The place was great. Just what we needed and wanted. A great alternative to the Hilton, better value, not as cheesy and OTT and perfect location. I could leave my condo 15 mins after other attendees left their Hilton based rooms and still be at the conference before them due to the goofy boat/rail transport system on the Hilton grounds. Very relaxing and good value with kitchenette and so much more private than being stuffed in a resort with 300 of your colleagues! Would do it again. Cheers and thanks for the help. Marcella Huff

Hi Billy. We had a nice vaction. Got sent to the Marriott on the Big Island because the Outrigger was being remodled. Very happy with the change; gorgeous hotel. The rental car on the BI broke down on our way to Volcano Park. They towed us in and gave us a full-size upgrade. Nice. All in all, great vacation and the job you did putting it together was wonderful. No problems with flights, getting our car, or hotels. It all worked out pretty good. I was given a lot of really good info on places to eat which would not have been my normal spots. I would say that the Mala wharf is a great shore dive that is pretty good. The water at Black Rock in Kaanapali is great. But the water is warmer in Cozumel and the diving better...We had some really great food on Maui. Again, several out of the way spots. The Old lahaina Luau is a good try and so is the Broadway show 'Ulalena'.

Hi Jerry, I have been very remiss in getting back to you regarding our vacation we took last fall. IT WAS FABULOUS Everything and I mean everything went off without a hitch. I have been the biggest blabber mouth about our Vacation Center to every one I show the pictures we took. We probably won't be back this year, but plan to move there in Sept 09. Jay, I was glad to hear from you because I did not have your email address. The Hawaiian vacation met all our expectations and more!! The accommodations were outstanding. ( I admit I was a little nervous going sight-unseen and never having used an on-line service before.) But the Kaanapali Shores was wonderful. We had two great condos. There was not a hitch with the airlines or cars. Everything was absolutely perfect. It was a wonderful gift for me to give my family. I have told other people about our great experience with The Vacation Center. I will certainly pass your name along also. We will be planning another family vacation for Christmas of '09 but I will want to give it to them on Christmas of ' 08. So I will start planning later this year. We are thinking about a cruise to the carribbean. The 'kids' want to go to Cayman because we have been and know how great the snorkling is. I will be in touch. Again. Hi Shaun. My mother and I just returned from Kaanapali Beach in Maui. All things considered, it was a wonderful experience. We went to the Old Lahaina luau on the beach that evening that was spectacular. Mom and I enjoyed the Kaanapali Beach Hotel very much - Very Hawaiian - people couldn't have been nicer. I believe our room was upgraded to a partial ocean view - newly remodeled as well. It's really in such a nice area - that Whaler shopping plaza was great. I loved Lahaina. Loved the views of Molokai and Lanai that you see from Kaanapali Beach. We went to the Maui Ocean Center as well as their cirque de soliel show 'Ulalena.' I hope to return there some day - would love to snorkel Molokini and bike down the crater. My mother who just turned 80 will never forget the trip - I was happy I could experience it with her. Hi Jay. We just got back last night, and I think our timing was perfect. Was beautiful weather the first 7 or 8 days, then it rained the last 2 1/2 days. The forecast calls for rain for the next week, so we couldn't have asked for better luck with the weather. Wanted to give you our opinion on the condo, especially since we have stayed on Maui so many other times. If I had made the trip with just a boyfriend or a husband, the condo would have been acceptable. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, the pool area is sparkling, and the view is breathtaking. The desk employees were excellent and friendly, and like I said, the grounds were awesome. Not a property that I would stay at again though if I went with anyone other than my boyfriend. Flight times were perfect for us. The car was just what I had asked for. So, overall a very good trip. Thanks Jay! Val L.

Jay, We have just returned from our trip to Hawaii. I must say how impressed I was with all of the accommodations you arranged for us, from the rental car to the Mauna Lani Point Villa. The rooms we were given were on the 13th green of the South Course, with our deck facing the ocean, which made for spectacular sunsets every evening. Not to mention the room itself was incredible. The entire facility was outstanding! I wanted also to let you know how accommodating the resort staff were. On our last day, our flight was to leave Kona at 11:59 PM. Check-out time for the villas is 2 PM. The Kynes had to be out of their villa by 10 AM. We had no one checking into our villa the next day, so they moved all their belongings in with us and we played golf at 11:00. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the dilemma we were going to be in. I had gone to the resort office earlier and discussed our situation with them. We were given approval to stay in our unit as late as was necessary (which turned out to be almost 8 PM) so that we could shower (the cleaning staff even brought us extra towels), pack, relax, etc. Their being so helpful in this matter kept us from being out on the street for 10 hours. They truly went over and above the call! Some of the things we did: Helicopter ride out of Hilo to see the volcano. Never seen lava before, especially moving about 40 MPH. That was pretty awesome. But I must say the city of Hilo is pretty dirty and smell badly of urine. Snorkeling on the Body Glove boat that was made for about 70 people or more. Our boat had 17 people on it and we got quite intimate with the crew. Not too expensive either. Hapuna Beach wave riding and body surfing was cool. The kids even got to see a turtle. They were thrilled with that. Lots and lots of golf. Played Mauna Lani courses 6 times and Hapuna once. If you're staying at the resort, golf is cheaper than Scottsdale right now. Well worth the cost. Courses are in unbelievable condition. Ate out a lot. Feels like I spent about $6K on lunches and dinner. Maybe a little heads-up on that one next time, eh? I want to thank you for your recommendations and all the effort you put forth to make this truly the most memorable vacation we have ever been on. We will definitely be recommending you and The Vacation Center to all our friends who plan vacations of this caliber. Gratefully, The Jossi Family MAHALO!!!!

Jay, Back in February or March, you set up a trip for us to Hawaii. You indicated you'd like to hear how it went. We left Colorado Springs on September 5th and returned on the 19th, and what a fantastical time we had! Our plane travel went off without a hitch and we arrived everywhere just as scheduled. Our hotel accommodations were lovely (upgraded at the ResortQuest Mahana at Kaanapali on Maui to a beautiful suite), cars were available as requested (2 were upgraded to nicer ones!), and we were very pleased with the bicycle tour you booked. We really enjoyed the RQ Plantation Cottages on Kaua'i, and the RQ Waikiki Beach Hotel on Oahu was beautiful. Wherever we needed anything, all the personnel were always so pleasant and ready to assist. Hello Jay - Thank u for the last minute deal u got us; it worked out perfect for us. My fiance won some money @ the casino which almost covered our expense. We upgraded our room to island view, good thing that we did not get all inclusive deal bc most of the time we were out in the local area very good food. The hotel is beautiful, we used our time wisely. Oh, Hurricane Felix missed us and we only got rain for half a day, can't complain it's mother nature. Besides that it was unforgettable experience. Aloha Jeremy! We returned Thursday night and everthing went just fine (for the most part). No realy flight issues either. The Marriott Waikoloa was just wonderful! We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it and would go back there again. The lobby was under construction but it did not interfere with a thing. We asked for a ground floor near the lobby and pool and were provided just that with a lovely view of the pool and ocean at no extra charge. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Their breakfast buffet (included) was unbelieable! We cannot say enough about that hotel and all they had to offer. Budget was confused when we picked up the car but they squared it away when I brought it back. We did upgrade on both islands to Mustang convertables and had fun with them in the beautiful weather we had. Chain of Craters road was closed but we were able to get up to the caldera. We simply loved Kauai. I would highly recommend justlive.com for a zipline tour on Kauai, and Kauai Sea Tours for their zodiac raft trip up the coast of Napali. Spectacular! Hi Nick! Got in late last night and finally taking time out to jot you a line about our trip. In a word it was AMAZING!!!! The Iberostar Paraisio Maya was absolutely fabulous!!!! We could not get over the details of the decor with fountains, Mayan statues, stone work, an aviary, lush gardens, wild but friendly animals ( a peacock grazed in the garden below our suite on a daily basis). The food was delicious and what a spread at the buffet. We had different meals at the restaurants every night ranging from gourmet to Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, etc. So much to choose from and so many different and unique dishes. There was lots to do during the day with a very friendly staff that made our visit even more enjoyable. The entire place was spotless with outstanding service. We basically stayed at the Maya and went to a few restaurants at the Lindo as well as their bars and entertainment hall where the shows were every night. They were fun to watch and included comedy, drama, song and dance. The karoke bar was also a big hit with our kids and the disco at the mall which didn't even open until 11:00. I could go on and on about the fabulous pools, the great ocean view and comfortable beach, the suites which were so spacious and done so tastefully, great restaurants, etc. It was more than we imagined. We really just loved all of it! We did check out the Beach and Del Mar which were on a smaller scale and decided we were glad that we selected the Maya. It seemed overwhelming at first but by the 2nd day we had learned our way around and by the time we left we knew most of the staff. We did a few excursion trips which were fun and also went into Playa del Carmen. I have passed your name on to a few more people and have raved over our stay and your helpfulness in putting it all together. Oh, yes no problem with transfers and everyone was punctual and so willing to please. Sorry my email is so long but every time I think of our vacation I just smile as it was the BEST and will be a wonderful lasting memory for our family for years to come. Take care, enjoy the summer, and to be sure if we ever do a trip again you will certainly hear from us. Heather: Aloha and Mahalo: Just a quick note of thanks for the lovely welcoming gift when we arrived at the hotel. My daughter, grandchildren and I had a wonderful trip to beautiful Hawaii. Our expectations were exceeded and each day was truly a day in paradise. If you remember my grandchildren were apprehensive about swimming in the ocean and you were able to reassure them with the protected swimming area you told me about. However, we had been at the beach 30 seconds before they were ready to throw caution to the wind and raced for the waves and the open ocean. The hotel gave us a complimentary upgrade in our room and we faced Diamond Head with the city lights to our left and the ocean to our left. We started each morning wtih coffee on our balcony. The Waikiki Beach Marriott was a wonderful hotel and all the personnel there treated us as if we were the only guests in the hotel. We also received a complimentary upgrade on our plane ride home to economy plus. We booked several activities from the Hawaiian Activities Center you recommended. We never encountered a single problem! I am amazed that all this could be done on the internet without one gitch. I cannot say enough kind words for all the transportation people. Their knowledge of the island was amazing and they gave a narrative to and from our activities. We also used the bus transportation for several other outings we had and these wonderful people never failed to be friendly and patient with all our questions. They made sure we got to where we wanted to go and several of them went out of their way to be sure we got off at the correct stop. Oh, I can't forget Cheeseburger in Paradise. Another one of your great recommendations. The kids loved it and so did we. The food was absolutely fabulous. All in all it was a great experience. My grandkids already want to plan another trip. They are ready to move on to snorkeling and surfing! My daughter said it was her perfect beach vacation. It was the positive experience I wanted everyone to enjoy. Thank you again for all your recommendations and your gift. When we arrived at the hotel with the gift waiting for us, it was as if we had a guardian angel looking out after us on our travel. Jay, I wanted to take a minute to let you know how our trip went: Our trip to Oahu was fabulous! It started out wonderfully with someone meeting us right after we got off the plane. They retrieved our luggage and showed us right where we needed to go. Once we got to the hotel, it was excellent. Outrigger Reef on the Beach was great. They were doing renovations but it never bothered us. We were so excited to be able stay in the same place we stayed on our honeymoon. The renovations they've made to the rooms are outstanding! The rooms were newly decorated with a comfy bed, nice couch, and a great 36' LCD television. Our partial ocean view was neat as well! Actually, on the last night of our trip we were upgraded, for free, to an ocean view room. We had guests beside us who were very noisy and loud at 1 and 3 in the morning. I talked to the people at the front desk and we were in a new room within an hour. That was great! We tried new activities while were were there this time. We hiked up Diamond Head; while my husband was ready to kill me, the views at the top made it worth it. We also rented a car for the day and drove around the island, stopping off at Shark's Cove along the North Shore to snorkel. The waves were kind of rough, but we were able to snorkel in an area that was shielded from the larger waves. The beaches were beautiful, and empty compared to Waikiki Beach. Driving wasn't bad at all. We had read that it was horrible to drive in Oahu but we had no problem. It was just like driving during rush hour in Indianapolis. Also, we were on vacation, so we weren't in a hurry even if we got lost. We also attended the Society of Seven show at the Outrigger Waikiki. That was an entertaining show to say the least! We were seated up front, so inevitably, my husband got dragged up on stage to participate in an Elvis Impersonator skit. He was a good sport! The performers were amazing singers and quite funny! In addition to those things, we also went on the Navatek I Sunset Dinner Cruise. We chose the more expensive of the two options and were not disappointed. The food was fabulous as well as the views from the boat. We went past Diamond Head along the Kahala coast. It was beautiful. Aside from those things, the new Waikiki Beach Walk is pretty awesome. It's still under construction, but we loved all the shops and restaurants. We hope to go back in 5-10 years and see all the changes that will have been made. One more thing--on our last day there, the hotel was great! They held our luggage and even gave us a courtesy room to shower off and get ready for our flight that evening. The Outrigger Reef was fabulous all-around (minus the noisy guests in room 409). Anyways, it's probably been more than a minute so I'll wrap this up. Thanks so much for helping us book this vacation. This is the 2nd time we've used The Vacation Center to plan our trip to Hawaii. And when we're ready to return, you'll be the ones we contact. Our anniversary trip was unbelievably relaxing and wonderful; I have 200 pictures to prove it! We have some friends that are thinking of going to Hawaii and I've sent them to your website. Hi Jeremy, I just wanted to thank you for planning our trip to Hawaii. Everything went very smoothly and we had a wonderful time. Thank you for the lovely book on Kaua'i, which we enjoy reading. Your expertise on Hawaii is superior! You suggested the best hotels, and the Sheraton upgraded us to an Ocean Plus Deluxe for $75 extra per night. The panoramic view of the ocean, surfers, palm trees, etc was a real 'plus.' Everything was top notch, and the restaurants you recommended were terrific. The Gazebo had the best macadamia nut pancakes on this side of the earth, and my husband said their omelets were incredible. Brennecke's Beach Broiler had delicious food, and the sunset view was lovely. All your recommendations proved enjoyable. I can't wait to plan the next vacation with The Vacation Center. Brett - It's been a while since we returned, but I've been meaning to drop you a note of thanks for setting up the travel arrangements. Maelynn and I had a flawless and completely enjoyable vacation in Maui. Your recommendations concerning breakfast at the Hyatt, extra day car rental rather than late fee, room upgrade etc. were perfect. It was great to go on such an important vacation (celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary) and to have no regrets at all. Instead all we have are wonderful memories of the time we spent together in such a beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed the Hyatt. The oceanview room was great, the open air breakfast area overlooking their beautiful grounds couldn't have been more enjoyable... not to mention the food and fruit. They have the best pool hands down and we loved walking up and down the long stretch of beach. The Hyatt may be older than the Sheraton at the other end, but it has much more character due to the sprawling and rolling nature of the beautifully landscaped grounds. In addition, I think we chose a good time, early May weather was perfect and nothing was too crowded. Thanks for sweating the details so we didn't have to. We'll be repeat customers. John R. M.

Brett, We just returned from our Hawaii trip. WOW! Everything went perfectly. I will certainly recommend you to my friends and anyone on the street! All was beautiful and both hotels were very nice. The Maui hotel was especially nice! We loved Hilo. When we were on Maui everyone kept asking why we wern't staying on the Kona side. They said the Hilo side was boring and rainy. We were concerned. BUT - the only time it rained the entire trip was our day trip to Kona. Hilo is fascinating and beautiful. I guess it's all in what you like. The Volcano's park was spectacular! A true lesson in science. We even experienced a 4.7 earthquake. A little unnerving since we had just left the Tsunami Museum! Another very informative visit. Thank you so much for your help! Brett, Just a note to say Thanks! Every thing was perfect. The Kona Reef resort was better than expected. Very clean, right on the ocean. The grounds, pool and facilities were immaculate. Hi Rick, My wife and I are back home in cool but sunny Michigan. We had a fabulous time in Hawaii. All the prearranged lodging, travel and activities you help to arrange for us worked out very well. The Haleakala sunrise and downhill bike ride was the most enjoyable. The Maui Eco Adventures rainforest and waterfall hike was also very enjoyable. Jeremy: We just returned from a wonderful vacation in Maui. Everything was perfect. The Maui Kamaole was situated on a hill, away from traffic noise with a beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai. We couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The large pool resembled a tropical lagoon surrounded by what looked like a botanical garden. Nick, Thanks so much for taking care of the car rental matter, and for doing it so promptly. You asked me to report back to you on how our trip was. I'm happy to tell you that everything was wonderful. The Maui Kai was perfect for us. The grounds and rooms were small and pleasant but not fancy, but they were all we needed. And the location was fantastic. You were right that it is north of the real busy parts of Ka'anapali beach, which was delightful. And our ocean front condos could not have been closer to the ocean. The sunsets on our lanai were spectacular, and we had terrific whale watching from our rooms. For people who want upscale amenities, the Maui Kai is probably not the place, but for people who want to get away, have a pleasant room, and a bit of peace and quiet with a great ocean view, it's perfect. Our accommodations on Kauai were even better. The Outrigger Lae Nani is beautiful, and the ocean front unit we got was probably the best in the complex. It was clean and spacious, and had a gorgeous wrap-around lanai with views of the ocean in two directions. And Kauai is spectacularly beautiful. We were thrilled with our little spot in paradise. Everything you arranged for us went smoothly (except for the overcharge on the rental car, which you so quickly fixed upon our return). Hey Nick!! You asked if I would let you know how we liked Bermuda, etc. It was absolutely wonderful, and we loved staying at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort. Everyone at the resort and Bermuda were so nice, and we had a very nice bay view room as promised. Flying Continental Airlines turned out to be very nice too. Overall we loved Bermuda, and would maybe go back again...when it's warmer! We especially like St. George area, and my husband and I loved the quaintness, and the history. Cafe Gio on St. George was wonderful, and we at at the Barracuda Grill in the city of Hamilton (right above the Hog Penny), and it had a little Asian flare which was wonderful. It is a very small restaurant, but excellent service and the food was wonderful. Anyway, I will stop but did want you to know we had NO surprises, great job of booking, and all in all loved Bermuda! Jerry, I just wanted to take a minute of your time to thank you for all your hard work and assistance with our vacation plans to Hawaii this month. We had an an absolutely wonderful time and Mike is actually talking about 'when' we go back. I was able to take the volcano helicopter tour on the Big Island and did the Zip-lining in Kauai - it was wonderful. Mike and I walked through the Hawaii Volcano Park and wandered through the lava fields. I'll try to send you one of the fantastic pictures that I got of the volcano from the helicopter, you can actually see the red lava in it. Awesome! Hey Brett, just got back from our Maui trip. I have to say we had a wonderful time. I was very concerned at the start of the trip when I found out our tickets were unseated and basically standby. I went to our Redding airport the day before, when I was unable to get a seat assignment online and I am glad we did so. We were able to get our seat assignments through United in Redding the day before and got exit row seats which were very comfortable and spacious for all of us. We got the same seats on the return trip. When we got in to the Kaanapali Shores Resort they asked if we wanted to upgrade to a better room. We never did go to the one that was booked for us because the one that was available to upgrade to was so excellent we could not refuse it. I attached the view we had so you could see how great it was. We had no problems with the car, it was spacious enough for all four of us as well as our 7 pieces of luggage! We did a luau that was a little more than the one we would have received the discount on. It was the Feast at LeLe. It was a seated luau with 5 served courses and very nice entertainment. The food was great, the view was beautiful, the service was wonderful. We did some other fun things I won't bore you with, Brett, but we did have a great time. If there was one thing I would complain about it was the mattress in the resort. It was HARD!! I don't know if you ever get in touch with the resort but putting a foam mattress pad in room 702 would greatly enhance someone else's trip or at least their sleep. Anyway, thanks for your help. We had a great vacation. Also, Mama's in Paia is exceptional for anyone wanting to pay for a great meal in a beautiful setting. The cuisine was mouth watering as well as abundant, the service was second to no place I have ever been and having reservations are strongly advised, but they did accommodate our early arrival without problem. Good Morning John, I wanted to drop you a note before I had a chance to get into the hussle and bussel of back to work! I got back last night from Cozumel and wanted to tell you how it was! As you know we have stayed in Cozumel many times, this is the first trip that we never complained about the food! The Palace was wonderful!!!!! The food was good, room service everyday if you wanted it (my son loved it when he was to hung over to go get breakfast) The managers in all of the restaurants walk around and talk with you at each meal asking if all was okay and so do the chefs! Food was great! The staff....I can not say enough nice things about them. They bent over backward to make sure you were happy and they never quit smiling! They would ask are you enjoying your stay and is there anything I can help you with. Town...It was wonderful being able to walk to town. It is an easy 10 minute walk. The kids partied every night. Here's the numbers that I would calculate: 20 gymnasts and their parent/s 4 coaches Let's guess about 10 rooms with 4 people in each (2A/2C). Some may take families and others may bunk together. Hello Richard, Well, we are back from our VERY FABULOUS vacation!!! I just wanted to thank you so much for all your hard work with our honeymoon trip to Hawaii. I did like you said and let the person at the desk know we were on our honeymoon. We were upgraded to the Rainbow tower at the Hilton in Honolulu and then got Oceanfront at the Renaissance in Maui. We had to pay for the upgrade in Maui, but it was just $80 a day more and that included breakfast and access to a cabana area just outside our room. We were able to sit in our cabana enjoying the sun while sipping on mai-tais and watching the whales play in the water. It was amazing!!! I really think it is a shame that the Renaissance is being torn down....it was an island paradise! We took bus tours (Pearl Harbor, Dole Pineapple, Macadamia Nut plantation, The rain forest), saw shows, went to two luaus,a sunset dinner cruise , saw fireworks on the beach right outside the Hilton, took a helicopter ride around Maui, rode horses into the dormant volcano Haleakala and the convertible was the icing on the cake. Every day was sunny and in the 80's...nooooooooooo mosquitos! It was pure heaven and we could not have achieved it without all of your help! My husband and I just returned from our Cancun vacation, which we booked through the vacation center. I wanted to inform you that we were very pleased with your service and the package that you guys put together for us. The Dreams Resort was indeed a Dream; the service at the resort was excellent!!!!. When we arrived our room was upgraded to ocean front view with private balcony, we had a bottle of champagne and a fruit bowl waiting for us in our room. Olympus tours the company that transferred us from the airport to the hotel and vise verse were very helpful and made our transfer very smooth. We plan to take another trip to Cancun some time in the future. We will be sure to book our vacation with the Vacation Center; we have already recommended you to our family and friends. Hi Jeremy, We had a great time! Pacific Beach Hotel, big thumbs up...they upgraded us to a complete ocean view on the 14th floor, very nice people. Sensei Sushi restaurant in the Marriott is the best I've ever had, a recommendation by the bell man at the Pacific. Royal Lahaina...not so good, they were remodeling, they put us on the 11th floor and the hammering started every morning at 7am, the shower didn't drain, no hot water, the sliding door wouldn't open, then it wouldn't lock, then it wouldn't open again....it will be nice I'm sure once they get the place finished but it was a challenge...LOL Mama's Fish House on the way back from Hana, incredible!!! Very pricey $250 for 2 people, 1 drink each. But well worth it. Annabell's and Warrens Magic Show in Lahaina is a MUST SEE. Really fun for all ages 21 & up. Definitely get the ticket that has the pupus and drinks... The last place, Islander on the Beach was absolutely wonderful!!!!! Ocean front room, just as I had remembered it from 22 years ago, the people were wonderful. I love Kapaa because it's not as packed as Poipu. I think if you have folks in their 40's or 50's who want a relaxed island experience with a real Hawaiian flavor, that's the place. Very nice remodel. Very clean. The rooms have a microwave, frig, sink and cupboards which lets you economize on food budget. Wireless is available in the lobby as well as actual desktops for those that don't want to tote their lap top. The Boss Frogg dive shop in Kapaa is great, they really take their time with you. The Lemon Grass restaurant...a recommend. Pricey but great food. OK, so there is my feed back, we were delighted with your service and would like to book our trip to Mexico with you...so we are looking to go in November and are open to your suggestions. Hello Nick, I meant to write you sooner to thank you for your work in setting up our trip in November to Maui for my daughters wedding. We stayed at the Aina Nalu and I know when we booked you were concerned about the location. It was great. The condos have all been redone and are very nice. None of us had a complaint, several in the group were upgraded to 2 bedroom condos when we arrived. The location was super. It was very quiet, close to front street, a 2 block walk. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. It couldn't have been a better location for us. Anyone in the group could get to wherever they wanted with a short walk. We booked all of our entertainment things right on front street at Expedia and it was all very simple. Just wanted you to know in case you have others going to Lahaina that the Aina Nalu is really nice now. We wish we were back already. Thank you again for all your work in getting all 12 of us there. My experience with the vacationcenter has been so wonderful. I keep booking trips with them. As soon as I get back from one I book another for a few months away. It is so affordable that I can take more vacations a year, when before I barely took the time to take one. I had such a nice stay in Maui for my birthday in Nov of 2006 that I booked another trip for my girlfriend's birthday for January 2006 to Oahu. I keep telling everyone I know about my trip and they want the information. I am so happy that I found the Vacation Center. The Maui Kai condo where I stayed was better than I ever expected. Ocean front and right out of my dream of what paradise should be. Drinking coffee on the balcony, watching the sunset while eating dinner and the great staff was incredible. It was really nice to speak with a real person when booking my trip. Nick at the Vacation Center was so helpful. He described the different options and helped me structure the kind of trip that was right for us. They even book events as part of the trip if we want him to. We went to a play, a luau had an event filled five night six day stay. I appreciate the way the vacation center does business! The help and support you gave me while booking the 'surprise' anniversary vacation in Poipu, Kauai for my son-in-law turned out wonderful. They flew through the Pineapple Express as it headed toward the mainland (quite a ride) but the week they vacationed was without rain. Hi Brett, The biggest plus for Kiahuna is its location. Sheraton on one side and Marriott vacation club on the other (starbucks is here). Shopping across the street and some good restaurants, at a varity of prices, and a little convenience store. I do want to thank you for your time and attention to detail for us. We just got back this morning and had a WONDERFUL time!!! It was Awesome! Sean didn't make but it didn't stop the rest of our fun. The hotel you suggested was beautiful and the view as well. Just a short note to tell you how MUCH we enjoyed our trip to Lahaina. The condo you recommended (Lahaina Shores) was just perfect for us.

We walked to town almost every day. We tried a new beach every day, and great restaurants also. The kids para-sailed, snorkeled, and even went horseback riding at the Mendes Ranch. It was absolutely perfect!

We all want to go back. Thank you for all your expertise and prompt replies regarding the booking of this trip. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

I’ve been meaning to drop in to tell you what a great time we had in Ocho Rios at the RIU resort! The pictures do the resort NO JUSTICE! Of the 6 times I’ve been to Jamaica, that was the absolute best ever (next to my wedding of course)! My husband was able to play golf without a problem, and mom and I never left the resort; there was no need to! I have forwarded your information to several of my friends. I told them how wonderful you were in helping me select a place and responsive you were to my needs!

Just wanted to say thank you so much for our wonderful Hawaii vacation. We got back this past Monday. It was simply fabulous. Everything you suggested was great. The helicopter ride with Inter-Island helicopters on Kauai was the best ever. My elderly mother-in-law and aunt said that was their favorite thing on the whole trip! The Old Lahaina Luau was wonderful. The accommodations at the Kaanapali Alii were first-class all the way. We couldn't snorkel on our trip on the Paragon because the water had been so rough the last couple of days, but we had a great sail and the island of Lanai was just beautiful. Saw some fabulous scenery. You are just the best. Thank you so much. I will happily recommend The Hawaii Vacation Center to anyone I know planning a trip.

The Kaanapali Shores condo was beautifully landscaped, and the condo, while standard, was comfortable. You also booked us into The Maui Sheraton which turned out to be fabulous. I just wanted to say 'Thank You' so much for all your help on our Puerto Vallarta vacation. We had an awesome time and everything went smoothly with no hassle. Thanks again so much for booking our trip.

My daughter and I just want to thank all of you at the Vacation Center on our wonderful trip. Everything was just outstanding, our condo, our car and our flights.

We packed into one week so much. The condo was right on the water and we had our breakfast out there every morning and watched the surfers, watched the cruises come in. It was warm and humid which is to be expected at this time of year.

I would go again through the Vacation Center, you guys are fabulous. Everything about the condo was where I would love to stay again. We were in A26 and it was so nice, we had every thing we needed. Our rental car was nice and quite new. We went up to the Volcanos the 2nd day and then drove all around the island. Visited the YWAM (Youth With A Mission) base and saw some friends there. We used the barbecue pit out by the pool at the condo and cooked our dinner one evening.

DUDE!!!! We had a PHENOMINAL time at the Barcelo. Best time ever!!! My only gripe was that it was not long enough. A trip to that place definitely deserves at least 9 or 10 days. We’re already planning our return trip next year. I wanted to send you an email thanking you for the wonderful recommendation. The food and drink was great. The resort was beautiful and the weather was perfect!

I think we’d be interested in going around the same time next year. Keep your eye out for any good deals and if anything comes up we’ll book it. I think we were looking at either doing the Barcelo/Tropical or maybe switching it up a bit and going to the Aventura Spa Palace. So if you see anything, let me know.

Everything was ok and we were very satisfied.

It was good that we had reserved one night in LA before going to Maui because we missed the plane in Munich were rebooked to LA via London Heathrow and arrived seven hours later than planned! But all your arrangements were without any problems!

The hotels were excellent for us. The flights were perfect even if it was a long way to LA via Salt Lake City, but I understand it was a question of finding the cheapest rates!

Honolulu Airport was fantastic- we could rest in the beautiful gardens there. The only thing I found unsatisfactory was that we did not have enough time. It was a pity as there is so much to see and do on both Maui and Kauai. I cannot tell which island I liked best. On Kauai I was fascinated by Limahuli Garden and of course Waimea Canyon. Kaj was disappointed that it was always blowing on the islands. We also had rain one day, but it did not disturb us so much for it was after the time when we walked in the rainforest (the road to Hana) and when we were returning back to Kaanapali where the weather was good.

Thank you for answering all my questions giving us advice and driving instructions. I printed it out and used it.

I can recommend The Vacation Center to people who would like to go to Hawaii! But it is a big mouthful for people from Denmark because of the distance! My daughter living in LA also thinks that you did a great job!

We wanted to let you know how nice the Occidental Allegro Cozumel is now after last summer's hurricanes. We were pleasantly surprised. The guestroom villas renovation is all but complete. The rooms were comfortable with new furniture and tile floors, etc. The grounds are replanted and looked beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great.

We enjoyed our vacation and wanted to let you know that the Allegro is a nice place to stay now that it's been fixed up.

We wanted to thank you for helping plan our vacation to Maui. Even though it has been raining in Hawaii, most of the rain we had in Maui came at night. We had a few overcast days but looked at it as natures way of regulating our exposure to the sun.

The hotel was great. We were upgraded to a room with an exceptional view. Our children would have been completely happy staying on the hotel premises and beach. The rental car (Ford Explorer) was also brand new.

We returned safely from our trip to Oahu and the Big Island. Jim and I would like to thank you for all your expertise in making this trip a very special and enjoyable one for us. Our daughter's boyfriend's mother happened to be our stewardess on the flight to Honolulu so we were treated like royalty. Our seats on all flights gave us great views upon landing, sufficient leg room, and were well below retail flight prices. When we arrived at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach, I was in awe! I had seen pics on the web and read reviews both good and bad. This was a very impressive hotel with excellent service and amenities. We were upgraded to the 10th floor and had breathtaking views of Diamond Head and Waikiki beach. We ate dinner the first night at the hotel restaurant, which was rather pricey, but served the best prime rib I have ever tasted. We used Polynesian Adventure Tours for our activities and saw just about all there is to see. Our rental car on the big island was comfortable and the Outrigger Keauhou was also very nice. A different, more casual feel from Waikiki, but a nice change. I am sending a photo of our 'Last Supper' LOL. We ate in Waimea at a new restaurant in the Parker Ranch shopping mall. Our least expensive meal on the islands. We had roast pork, garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables, a salad and our beverage for under $25.00. Not only would I recommend the vacation center and yourself to my friends, I want you to start planning our trip to see Maui, Kaui, and Molokai !!!!! Seriously, feel free to contact us in the future concerning any promotions or specials for not only Hawaii but other destinations as well. I wanted to thank you for the wonderful trip you planned for us to the Riviera de Maya and the wonderful resort - The El Mandarin. We had a wonderful time. Everyone who worked there was most kind and courteous, always smiling, and friendly. Our travel representative was wonderful to us. She met us when we arrived and we met with her the next day to plan an itinerary. She was there the next couple days to see that we got on the right bus or van, and welcomed us when we arrived back, eager to review with us what our trip had been like and if we enjoyed it. Everything went like clockwork. The planes were on time, even a little early. The food was wonderful, the pool delightful, but the Caribbean Sea was most enjoyable. We enjoyed excursions to XA-Ha and Tulum, and a wonderful fishing trip where I reeled in a King Mackerel at least 3 feet long, no exaggeration. There were a few minor problems with our room, but we reported them and they were fixed almost immediately.

We understand the El Mandarin is under new ownership and is planning to change its name. We hope to return there next year Thank you so much.

Our hotels were AWESOME!! We had great luck at the Pacific Beach particularly-- Royal Kona Resort was also a lovely facility. Flights went smoothly...we had a great trip!! As you might expect, we are talking about what adventure we might like to try next year...would you be willing to start down this road again with your favorite USF clients??? :-)

We were thinking 40 or so people next year--perhaps 12-13 nights on Maui and 2- 3 on Molokai?? We might skip Oahu completely this time around. Any idea if that is do-able???

We just got back and I wanted to Thank You! For the great job you did planning this trip for us. We had a few adjustments to make upgrading the car so we could make it to the top of Haleakala Crater and all the way to Hana (What a trip that was!)

We had a great time and hated to return to the cold in Nashville. I’m not sure how long it will take us to adjust to the 50 degree weather we are now having. We had sun everyday day and the temps were in the high 70’s to 80’s – just prefect!

Just wanted to drop you a note after our vacation. We had a fabulous time!!! The Catalonia Riviera Maya was a perfect resort for out family of 4. Our kids are 20 & 17 and this was a great place to bring them. I really liked the size of the grounds. It wasn't spread out like many of the resorts I have seen online, so if you forgot something in your room it was an easy walk back. All the employees were great. I only wish we had booked it for nights instead of 5, by the time we did Chitchen-Itza and spent the afternoon in Playa there wasn't enough time to just veg out. One definitely wants to make your restaurant reservations right away when you arrive. We ate at the Italian and steak house. I wouldn't call them 4 star dinners, but it was a nice change from the buffet. I am not a buffet lover, but found plenty to eat. The only complaint I have is the beds....omg! I called them Flintstone beds, they were as hard as stone. I did manage to get a waffle pad after the second request.

Thanks again for the recommendation, I am already thinking about when I can go back. This time it's a chic trip...lol. Any deals for me if I can book a group?

Oh....The resort was in perfect shape, including the landscaping. Only once you got outside of the grounds could you see the evidence of the hurricane.

Hi... I wanted to write a little something to possibly add to your client testimonials page - not that you really are lacking in people singing the praises of the Vacation Center.

Last summer we were planning our honeymoon and we had very specific criteria, including price, in mind. I stumbled on The Vacation Center website by accident, but it was a very fortunate break. It was perfect and I have been meaning to writing to tell you so! You are the best and I will recommend you highly to anyone who plans to go there. What a perfect vacation and honeymoon. So lovely. The places we stayed were great. We did have one little problem with the Royal Hawaiian -- we upgraded our room when we got there and they never delivered our gift from The Vacation Center that they had left in the first room they had reserved for us. They did manage to deliver the champagne from them however, so that was nice.

The Hyatt in Maui was fantastic -- top class -- and they did deliver champage and the gift from your business. There at the Hyatt they even offered to upgrade us to oceanfront at no charge, which we gladly accepted. The lobby and grounds and pool were perfect! The Sheraton on the Big Island did as well. The rental cars were perfect too and the people at Dollar were very nice. No problems with any of our flights!!! It was fantastic and we appreciate all you did to help us!

I just wanted to thank you, again, for all the help you provided to me with the planning of our trip. Everything was super. The cabin/cottage that we rented ended up being the *best* one on the plantation. It turned out to be a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, and it faced the ocean. It was wonderful. In fact, on the day that we were checking out, another couple asked if they could look through it because they wanted to see if they could upgrade!

We had no problems with any stage of our trip. The flights, car rental, and cottage check-in and check-out were all wonderful. I truly appreciated all of the materials you sent us and the attention to detail that you and the Vacation Center provided. I just wanted to let you know what a good time we had on our trip. We went snorkling, climbed Diamond Head, hiked in a rainforest, rode almost all the way around the island, went to the Dole Plantation, Arizona Memorial, Missouri, the Zoo, and of course, ate all the time!

I was a bit trepidacious about doing this all completely over the phone and on line, but now I know that I made the right choice in calling you. The resort was amazing and so calm, not too many people around just like you said! The weather was perfect, and I know you had complete control over that! And our room! Our room! We thought we would be getting a simple mountain view room that would probably not have the prettiest of views, however we had a stunning view of mountains out to the right and nothing but ocean and sun in front of us. We watched the sun set over the water every night from our balcony and it was truly amazing. This is not a trip we will soon forget. Thank you so much for everything. We just got back last night and had a fantastic trip! Thank you so much for the complimentary drinks and all your help and suggestions... We REALLY liked the Pacific Beach Hotel - we were given a room up on the 17th floor of the Oceanarium Tower that had a beautiful view of Diamond Head and the beach. The rooms were basic, but comfortable and clean with good beds. The location was great with Kuhio beach right across the street and the bus center, zoo, aquarium, and Kapiolani Park just 2 blocks away. Two things you might want to tell people is that 1) the Oceanarium Restaurant is being remodeled right now so there's no 'aquarium side seating' for probably another couple of months (there kind of is in the Neptune restaurant on the second floor but it's not really set up for it in the same way), and 2) if you can get to the Shogun Restaurant before 6:30 they take 25% off the price of the buffet, which is wonderful! Basically, for ~$20.00/person it's all you can eat sushi, sashimi, tempura, prime rib, Dungeness and Snow crab, a changing variety of Japanese dinner items (salads, vegetables, tofu, baked seafood and shellfish, noodles, rice, etc.) and a large dessert bar. The 25% less early bird dinner is NOT advertised anywhere - we just happened to get there early evening and noticed the difference in our bill!

The Neptune buffet on the 2nd floor is cheaper for breakfast but more expensive for lunch and dinner, with a more American style buffet.

Food was really expensive in Waikiki - we wound up saving a little bit of money picking up fruit (incredible pineapple and papaya!), rolls, rice balls (musubi) or noodles and juice every night at one of the ABC shops (can't miss 'em) and putting it in our hotel room refrigerator for the next mornin
